Answering your questions

Got more questions or a cool project? I'm down - let's connect!

What area are you based in?

Vancouver, BC, Canada. I recently relocated to Canada in February 2025.

Do you have a Canadian Open Work Permit?

Yes, I have a valid Open Work Permit that expires in 3 years (till 2028). I'm also eligible to extend it for an additional 5 years independently, so no sponsorship or administrative support from the company will be required for the extension.

How would you approach a design solution if the leadership team has different opinions?

I would ground the discussion in user research and testing. By gathering feedback from real users through usability studies or A/B testing, I can present data-driven insights to the leadership team. This approach helps align diverse perspectives by balancing user needs with business goals and the product roadmap, ultimately leading to a solution that serves both our customers and organizational objectives.

How would you share a complex design concept with stakeholders who may not understand it?

I tailor my approach based on the audience by using interactive prototypes to make user flows tangible and telling a story that connects the design to business outcomes and user problems. I simplify technical language through analogies and present progressively - starting with the high-level vision before diving into details - while showing how the design aligns with the product roadmap. I also invite feedback early through collaborative sessions to build understanding and buy-in throughout the process.

What can you bring to our company?

I bring strategic design thinking that aligns with business objectives to drive real impact. I translate complex user needs into intuitive solutions that improve key metrics while bridging design, product, and engineering teams for seamless execution. I take end-to-end ownership from research through post-launch iteration, and I'm a genuine team player - at my previous roles, I've made actual friends with colleagues and even traveled together, which I think shows how I approach collaboration and building connections.

What do you like to do after work?

I love watching indie films, listening to all kinds of good music, and reading when I have time. When the weather's nice, you'll find me out hiking and exploring the trails around Vancouver. And since I moved to Canada, I've been teaching myself to cook - turns out dining out here costs more than my Adobe Creative Suite subscription!
